1. Building site "Al Eecher Schmelz"

Description of the building site

The building project "Al Eecher Schmelz" comprised a theoretical part and a practical follow-up typical for a large building project in order to avoid as much as possible to generate waste or at least to reduce waste as much as possible. Thanks to a careful planning of the building project through a selective listing of waste together with advice and specific training of the persons involved in the various construction steps, a concept for managing waste on building sites was put in place. This concept can be used as a general guideline by construction companies and professionals within the frame of future building projects in order to determine the potential of waste prevention on one side and define a billing model on the other side. The concept needs to be applicable at international level independently of where the building site is located. The concept included the planning of waste prevention, selective collection and qualitative disposal of waste as well as a global communication program. The results are summarized in the file below and details are available upon request.

In addition to the SuperDrecksKëscht® fir Betriber, the partners of the pilot project Al Eecher Schmelz were the Fonds du logement, the Ministry for the Envirnomment and the Chambre des métiers

3. Building site European Court of Justice, Extension 4

Description of the building site

The architectural project comprises a two storey building called « Anneau », from the former building “Ancien Palais”, two towers of 24 floors and a gallery which provides architectural and functional unity to the new building complex by linking the new and former buildings.

5. SEO building site- machine 10, centrale de Vianden

Description of the building site

Renovation of a vertical pit of 50 m depth and 22 m in diameter (machine 10) and the pressurized pipe of a total length of 1375 m and interior diameter of 4.5 m.

Use of concept	Implementation of a structure for selective waste collection put at the disposal of all the companies intervening on the building site. Disposal of specific waste, which was not collected in the sorting center is at charge of the companies. Recycling proofs have to be submitted to the building site manager.
